The other half of getting stronger.
Friendswood’s recovery spa is not a menu of treatments. It is a suite of protocols — heat, cold, oxygen, light, and licensed hands — one corridor from a strength floor that never closes.
The suite under the violet recovery lighting — float pod, cold plunge, and the sauna beyond.
Training asks a question of the body. Recovery is the answer — and most spas have outsourced that answer to a candle and a robe. This suite was built on a different premise. Every room in it exists to move one lever: how completely the body adapts between one session and the next.
The loop begins with heat. Sauna rounds raise the pulse and wake the heat-shock response; minutes later the 38–50°F plunge slams the system the other way. Between the two sits the oldest recovery protocol there is — contrast — run deliberately, on a clock, not as a novelty.
The quieter rooms finish what the contrast starts. Red light while the heart rate settles. A float pod where the noise stops entirely. Hyperbaric oxygen for the weeks that ask more of you than they give back. A salt cabin for the slow hour. And on the tables, licensed therapists working six modalities — deep tissue, ashiatsu, Thai, lymphatic drainage, assisted stretch among them — scheduled like training, because that is what it is.
The address matters. The suite is one corridor from a 24-hour strength floor, so recovery is not an errand across town — it is the second half of the same visit. One building. One membership.
Red light at the cool-down end — the bar over the face, licensed hands on the clock.

Questions, answered
Is there a recovery spa in Friendswood, TX?
Yes — the recovery suite at Wellness Elite Fitness, 104 Whispering Pines Avenue: two saunas, a 38–50°F cold plunge, hyperbaric oxygen, red light, float, PEMF, hydrogen, a salt cabin, and licensed massage across six modalities, one corridor from a 24-hour strength floor.
How is a recovery spa different from a medspa?
A medspa is aesthetic — injectables, facials, laser. A recovery spa works on the body's ability to recover: heat, cold, oxygen, light, and skilled hands. At Wellness Elite Fitness the two live side by side but separately — aesthetic and longevity medicine is practiced on-site by Elite Aesthetic MD, an independent practice.
Can I try it before joining?
