Frequently Asked · Wellness Elite Fitness

The questions, answered.

Twenty-five questions members and prospects most often ask — about the practice, the tiers, the modalities, the visit, and what's covered. Each answer links to the source page for the deeper read.

I.

About the practice.

What WEF is, who runs it, and how it differs from a regular gym.

What is Wellness Elite Fitness?

A private, physician-advised wellness center in Friendswood, Texas — programmed as one practice. Strength training, recovery suite, longevity diagnostics, cellular health, behavioral wellness, and corporate programs run by the same named team. Founded by Imani Lowery in 2019.

Who runs the practice?

Imani Lowery (founder, owner, head trainer), Dr. Swet Chaudhari, MD (Chief Medical Officer, board-certified plastic surgeon), Dana Kantara (Cellular Health, ex-Baylor), Najla Crawford, LPC (Director of Behavioral Wellness), John Uresti (Director of Corporate Wellness), and the WEF coaching bench. How does WEF differ from a regular gym?

Most gyms sell access. WEF sells a programmed sequence — consult, baseline labs, DEXA + VO₂ / RMR, programming, recovery cadence, quarterly re-test, annual review — held together by a small named practice. Twenty-plus modalities bundled into one membership. The trainer reads the panel before writing the block.

II.

Membership & pricing.

How tiers work, what's included, how to enroll.

How many membership tiers are there?

Four: Gold, Platinum, Diamond (Most Chosen), Diamond Plus (Most Comprehensive). Each tier adds more of the recovery and longevity stack. Group memberships of three or more receive 15% off.

See full benefits per tier →
Does WEF publish prices online?

No. Membership pricing is shared at the consult and tour. The lobby tier sheet is the canonical published source on-site. The four tiers and their inclusions are described on /membership; dollar amounts are confirmed in the consult conversation.

How do I become a member?

Begin with a thirty-minute consult — usually with Imani when she is on the floor. Walk the floor on the tour. Tier scoped during consult. Baseline labs and body composition within the first ten days. The full seven-step arc →

Is membership month-to-month?

WEF offers 6-month and 12-month terms, with the 12-month term carrying a discounted rate. Diamond Plus members have access to a 60-day complimentary medical / military / travel freeze. Specific term details reviewed at the consult.

Is there a member referral program?

Yes. The current structure offers a $100 account credit to the existing member and $100 to the friend who joins. Details confirmed at the front desk.

Do members get guest passes?

Yes — three guest day passes per member, per year. Guest passes are gym-floor only; they do not include recovery modalities, IV hydration, or the longevity program.

III.

Services & modalities.

What's on the floor, what's included, who delivers it.

What modalities are included with membership?

All members receive 24-hour fitness access, MetCon group conditioning twice weekly, Atlas SMS concierge, welcome 15-minute massage, and the recovery suite at the cadence determined by tier. Diamond and Diamond Plus add unlimited recovery, IV therapy, VO₂ / RMR, cellular consult with Dana, and longevity panel review with Dr. Chaudhari.

What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy at WEF?

A 1.5 ATA mild-hyperbaric chamber. Sessions are programmed against your training and recovery week. Diamond and above include HBOT in tier; other members scope à la carte. WEF is a wellness center, not a medical-HBOT clinic; clinical hyperbaric indications referred to Elite Aesthetic MD.

Does WEF do blood work or hormone replacement?

Panels are ordered through Dr. Swet Chaudhari, MD's separate licensed practice — Elite Aesthetic MD. Hormone optimization, GLP-1 medical management, and clinical IV protocols are delivered through EAMD under medical license. WEF is a wellness center; the clinical layer routes through the adjacent licensed practice.

What is the Cellular Health Consult with Dana?

Dana Kantara, formerly Clinical Prevention Director at Baylor College of Medicine, runs the cellular health arm. Custom panels — autoimmune, fatigue, inflammation, food sensitivity, heavy metals, ultimate fitness, weight loss. Diamond Plus members see Dana monthly; Diamond quarterly.

What is VO₂ max + RMR testing at WEF?

Direct metabolic testing on the CardioCoach VO₂ / RMR analyzer by Korr Medical Technologies — an FDA-cleared indirect calorimeter. VO₂ max for cardiorespiratory fitness, RMR for resting metabolic rate. Diamond members receive complimentary quarterly testing.

What is behavioral wellness with Najla Crawford, LPC?

Coverage & programs.

HSA / FSA, insurance, corporate engagements.

Are services HSA / FSA eligible?

Many WEF services may be HSA / FSA eligible with physician guidance — eligibility varies by plan and service. The clinical interpretation layer (Dr. Chaudhari, Dana Kantara) is what triggers eligibility for most plans. The front desk assists with documentation.

Do you take insurance?

No — WEF is a private wellness practice. Insurance reimbursement is not part of the model. Some members apply HSA / FSA dollars with physician guidance. Clinical services delivered through Elite Aesthetic MD are billed separately.

Does WEF offer corporate or employer programs?

Yes. John Uresti, Director of Corporate Wellness, owns the B2B pipeline — executive health bundles, group memberships, on-site activations, and cellular health cohorts for Houston-south employers.
